Let’s define both of brand identity and brand image:
Brand identity is how you want to portray your business to your audience. It includes how you choose your business name, the design of your logo, the colors and shapes or graphics you use, and the type of language you use. As it seems, brand identity is about the visuals of your business in the eye of the people.
Brand image is the perception of the brand in the mind of the customer. It is an aggregate of beliefs, ideas, and impressions that a customer holds regarding the brand. As it means, brand image is a set of characteristics of your brand. It reveals your goals and all the things that are important for you in your business structure.
During the process of modernizing industries and business, using eye-catching pictures was necessary for all businesses, but today, because of social attributes like complexity and anxiety and lack of trust in communities, integrity and honesty are on the top. Besides the new generations (gen Z and beyond) are deeply different from preceding generations, they are more direct in their attitudes.
This characteristic encouraged them to follow personalities or brands that clearly state their point of view and show an honest image of themselves.
Without any doubt, having a well-designed brand identity is important for businesses and personal brands, but in the end, you should be transparent with everyone, and what would be better than transparency for a good brand image?
